“Acupuncture, is it for you?” FREE informational workshop with a live demonstration, will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 10:30 a.m. The renowned Dr. Natalia Paliwoda, who has a practice in Braintree, will discuss how the ancient healing art of acupuncture can help with many ailments, such as migraines.
“We highly recommend the Acupuncture Workshop. My now 16-year-old daughter suffered daily migraines for years. After seeing a neurologist and undergoing many tests, she tried a variety of very strong prescription medications as well as chiropractic treatment, without any relief. At our wits end, we took her to Dr. Paliwoda. Acupuncture worked,” Deb Forbes, co-founder of Body To Soul explained. “Within seven weeks, my daughter’s health improved drastically, and she has experienced only three migraines. We try to spread the word about this phenomenal treatment because we are thrilled that my daughter no longer has to endure pain every day. She is much happier and does better in school because she doesn’t have to struggle to concentrate. Now she can participate in sports and many more social activities. She can enjoy herself.”
Yoga and Sound workshop will teach attendees how to deepen their yoga practice using their voice and relaxing sounds. Marnie Bacon leads this workshop, which will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. ($15 members/$20 non-members).
Take Control of Your Life workshop with Ellie Lane, MSW, LICSW & Life Coach helps attendees to discover new ways to set priorities, say “no”, and leave the guilt behind. It will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 10:30 a.m. ($15 members/$20 non-members).
Menopause Madness with Pat Rackowski, teaches women how to “harness those hormones” on Saturday, November 18th at 10:30 a.m. ($15 members/$20 non-members.)
Body To Soul’s next Fitness Challenge will begin on October 7th and run for six weeks, ending with a celebratory outing. Challenging the mind, body and soul, Fitness Challenge participants are divided into teams and led by personal trainers and group class instructors. Operating on a point system, each individual is held accountable for making entries in a nutrition journal as well as for keeping track of weight training and cardio workouts. Even though each participant works out on her own and at her convenience, her tally contributes to the team’s overall point total. At the end of the Fitness Challenge, individual points are totaled together for each team, and the team with the most points receives special prizes.
