Coral Gables Martial Arts School Host 5th Annual 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive

Coral Gables, FL - Sifu Sandor Urban, owner of Sandor Urban's US Kenpo Kai announced today that the school's 5th Annual 9/ 11 memorial Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006. The Blood Drive, an annual event held at the karate school, in honor of the victims of the horrific attacks of 9/11/01, held in conjunction with Community Blood Centers of South Florida. The Bloodmobile will be parked in the parking lot of the Red Road Plaza shopping center located on the corners of S. Red Road (SW 57th Avenue) and SW 19th Street from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

"It's hard to believe that it has already been five years since 9/11. It is important that we as a community remembers what happened and continue to honor the fallen. The absolute horror of that day hit all of us unlike anything we had seen before. This is our fifth annual blood drive and I am very proud of the many Coral Gables and West Miami residents and martial arts students who have participated in the past events and cordially invite everyone to attend and participate. People don't have to donate blood to participate in the annual event and that is important to know because they can help even if they are unable to donate blood. By taking the time out of their busy lives to donate blood, their generosity and compassion are extended to others through the gift of life." said Sifu Urban. "Perhaps this is one of the best things we can do to memorialize those that died on 9/11. This year, to encourage people to participate in the event, we will be giving away prizes and special VIP passes to all who take part. Everyone who comes by and donates either their blood or their time will receive a VIP pass to our school, for a month of training in any of our programs."
