Raleigh, NC – Advertising Agencies in Raleigh and throughout the Triangle area went toe to toe on Saturday, February 19th at the Ad Club of the Triangle’s 2005 ADDY Awards Ceremony. When the final bell rang, Littleton Advertising & Marketing stood with the leaders atop the pack with a total of 9 Addy Awards. While a number of entrants at the Triangle ADDYs were successful at winning multiple awards for one particular specialty, Littleton’s presence stood out for having success in the widest range of categories, from radio production and print advertising to logo design and non-traditional self promotional concepts.
“The scope of this competition is what makes these awards so meaningful,” said Chris Enter, Creative Director for Littleton Advertising & Marketing. “Littleton continuously shines in competitions related to the homebuilding industry, but in this case, we proved our abilities on a much broader spectrum.”
Littleton won a Gold Award for its own promotional piece, a very resourceful “LA&M Holiday Survival Kit” containing a number of items to help clients get through the holiday season. Littleton also took home four Silver ADDYs, one each for the ALS Association Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter in the Public Service Ad category and for a business to business two page spread in the Trade Publication category for IT services company ProVAR of Greenville, NC.
Littleton was also awarded Silver ADDYs for the Sandler Development Group and Jazz Preservation Society of New Bern logos.
Littleton also won four Bronze ADDYs for entries including their Mercurie logo, New Bern Jazz & Blues Fest poster, and two for K. Hovnanian’s NewHome101 campaign, which included its direct mail campaign and single radio commercial entry – the only radio entry to win any award. Some of Littleton’s ADDY award-winning pieces can be viewed at www.LittletonAdvertising.com.
“Although awards tend to focus on the advertising agencies, it’s important to recognize the clients who gave us the opportunity to produce award-winning material,” stated Senior Art Director Tom Lewis. “The privilege to work as partners with our clients and collaborate on ideas is what truly makes the greatest efforts possible.”
The 2005 ADDY Awards Ceremony, presented at the Exploris Center in downtown Raleigh, recognizes local agencies vying for the title of best in the market. Local Silver and Gold ADDY winners will move on to compete in one of 14 district competitions; finally, district winners will compete for the National ADDYs.
The American Advertising Federation (AAF) ADDY Awards are the industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing and rewarding creative excellence in the art of advertising. Every year approximately 60,000 entries are submitted in local ADDY competitions.
