Pottstown, Pa.; August 1, 2003 CODY Computer Services, Inc. (CODY) is bringing a Lamborghini tothe International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2003 Expo. A full-scale replica of a Lamborghini
detailed to simulate an authentic police car is certain to arrest the attention of visitors approaching the
CODY Computer Services exhibit (#1631). And their fascination will accelerate into high gear once they've
sat behind the wheel of this futuristic cruiser to enjoy an experience bordering on virtual reality' an
interactive demonstration of CODY's latest law-enforcement enhancing software and hardware products.
"It will be as if they were right on the job in the car," says Hari Wagner, marketing coordinator, CODY
Computer Services, Pottstown, Pa. "They will go through all the normal paces, including calling the
dispatcher and actually experiencing our software products in action. It will be both fun and interesting."
(CODY's police car models were created by Digi Display & Graphics, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) .
Along with enjoying the "thrill of the ride," visitors will witness CODY's unveiling of several new-product
developments, all built around its "CODY Links America" Conference theme. These include a re-engineered
COBRA (CODY Online Basic Regional Access) software version, which allows secure data sharing between
regional police departments, new data exporting capabilities and new MS Word-based form-generation
templates. Product introductions will also include new modules for jail management and civil processing, a
new case management package, and new supporting hardware for reading bar-coded driver's licenses.
First-of-Its-Kind Software
CODY's enhanced COBRA software package is the first and only solution enabling police departments to
share secure data and communicate regionally without having to modify their departmental data formats.
COBRA was successfully implemented in a real-time application last year, connecting 27+ departments in
one county on the East Coast, and a second multi-department launch is now underway in the Midwest.
CODY will also unveil new exporting capabilities to allow any data from any screen or data query to be
captured in different formats, such as html, Excel, MS Word, etc., thus establishing an easy link between
ordinarily incompatible data files and formats. Another new capability allows forms to be generated from MS
Word templates that interact with the database. Template form fields can be easily configured to integrate
precise data directly from existing database sources in real-time.
