Lofton, Vermont – Barbara Comfort, author of At Loggerheads, turns 90 September 4th. Born in 1916 in Nyack, New York, Comfort attended the National Academy of Arts and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts at Fontainebleu in France for landscape and portrait painting. In 1963, a cookbook she wrote, which started her writing career, caught the attention of television personalities Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs, and she was featured on the Today Show.
Comfort started Landgrove Press in 1981 and published a mystery series, which was picked up by Foul Play Press. At Loggerheads, the latest in the series, was self-published through Xlibris in 2002.
People are asking if she would write another mystery book. Well, not as of the moment. Comfort decided to take a break and enjoy her 90 years.
At Loggerheads may be purchased directly through Xlibris Corporation or Barnes and Noble.com, Amazon.com, Borders.com or through Baker & Taylor and Ingram Book Distribution.
