One of the two new names to PC ADVISER charts, Arbico gets off to a flying start by bagging a recommended award. If it had pushed the processor up to a 2.4 GHz E6600 rather than a 2.13 GHz E6400, this PC would have been hard to beat. As it is, the E6400 still produces a very respectable Worldbench score of 125. Arbico has done most things right. The 250 GB hard drive is more than ample, while the GeForce 7900 GT means Arbico can lay down impressive frame rates without adding too much to the cost. Game frame rates weren’t stellar, but they were consistently ahead of the fourth-placed Mesh Matrix, Even if the latter PC just about pulled ahead on video encoding. The arbico benefits from a good flat-panel, the liyama offering a steady image and bags of color.
Neither has Arbico forgotten about audio, putting in a Creative Audigy 4 card and some ear-popping Logitech X-530s, while the DVD writer is excellent. The warranty is skimpy and the arbico could have been less cluttered underneath the lid. But as a first stab at a PC, this is a cracking effort.
”We're a small company, but we'd be huge if more people knew about us. I am quiet certain that on our high end PC's (above £400) we are easily beating Dell / Cube etc. on price and well as far as service goes…you know” Said Anwar ahmed director of Arbico computers.
Increasingly Arbico computers http://www.arbico.co.uk is now one of the top 20s computer retailers of UK and they have not looked back since they’ve gained so much popularity.
