SAN JOSE, CALIF., August 31, 20006 — Andrew Lane, a family-run Napa winery - www.andrewlanewines.com - will have its award-winning Gamay Noir and Sauvignon Blanc poured at Santana Row’s newest restaurant, Tanglewood. The recently launched Tanglewood is San Jose's premier destination for local American cuisine. The restaurant embodies the spirit and uniqueness of American regional cuisine in its purest form, a place where dining remains ever attuned to the bounty of the season, and the daily spontaneity of Chef Quentin Topping.
Available by the glass, Andrew Lane 2004 Gamay brushes your palate with the velvety texture of a Pinot Noir, but with a more vibrant, red fruit character. It offers a lively bouquet and flavor of fresh red cherries, red currents, with touches of strawberry and spice on the finish. The 2004 Gamay is produced from 50+ year-old vines, one of the last remaining Gamay vineyards in Napa Valley.
Andrew Lane Sauvignon Blanc is available by the bottle and offers aromas of citrus and lemon grass on the nose with bright flavors of juicy pineapple and grapefruit that will make your mouth water. Offering a light and incredibly crisp mouthfeel packed with citrus, it balances acidity with a refreshing and buttery finish.
Andrew Dickson, winemaker stated, “Andrew Lane wines are the perfect companion to Topping’s daring, fresh, delectable, and seasonal menu, whether its vegetables, meats, poultry or pastas.”
