Central Valley Ride for a Cure: Riders Gear Up to Benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association

On Saturday, September 9th the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) will host the 2nd Annual Central Valley Ride for a Cure. More than 100 riders and motorcycle groups will thunder through sublime Central California back country and roar into the Outback Steakhouse in Fresno for post-ride festivities.

In addition to a fabulous journey and a Ride for a Cure pin, participants will enjoy live music and a “Down Under” lunch provided by Outback. Fundraisers will have the opportunity to win great prizes including a custom paint job and a three-night stay in Laughlin for the Laughlin River Run 2007. This fun, philanthropic event begins mid-morning and lasts through the day as riders from all over Northern California get together for good times and a great ride. Riders roar out from Harley-Davidson Dealerships in Fresno, Los Banos, Merced, and Visalia and arrive at the Outback Steakhouse shortly before noon.

MDA is a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for the more than 40 neuromuscular diseases. Funds raised through events like the Central Valley Ride for a Cure support research projects and provide services such as clinics, medical equipment, communication devices and support groups for families living with neuromuscular diseases. MDA also sends “Jerry’s kids” to camp at Wonder Valley Ranch in Sanger for a fun-filled week where they make new friends, try new activities, and develop increased self-confidence!
