Shrewsbury, MA, August 26, 2006 - All inPlay partners with educators and vocational rehabilitation trainers from across the country to help blinded veterans have a fun way to learn and practice using assistive technology. All inPlay’s local partner, Adaptive Technology Consulting (ATC), now offers all veterans enrolled in ATC’s computer and Internet training course a free year of membership to All inPlay. “In our own small way we want to thank our vets for their service.” said Jeremie Spitzer, All inPlay’s co-founder and CEO. “By partnering with ATC these vets are now able to play fun games while practicing with their assistive technology. But more importantly, these vets are able to re-connect with friends they served with from the comfort of their homes.”
ATC contracts with the VA Boston Healthcare System, the Providence VA Medical Center and the Manchester VA Medical Center to enable veterans to use computers and the Internet with the appropriate assistive technology.
“The suite of All inPlay games are great for getting our students to practice using assistive technology with the computer and the Internet between lessons,” said Gayle Yarnall, President of Adaptive Technology Consulting. “With All inPlay’s in game text chat feature, our students have the ability to meet new and old friends, building their social network which is one of the great uses of the Internet.”
