New Website Tackles Internet Marketing Woes
August 25, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Many small business owners are looking to expand or start new online businesses. However, without access to venture capital funds, most of them have to fund their ventures by bootstrapping or borrowing from family members and friends. As a result, small business owners have to be extra careful when spending on advertising. They are woeful because Internet Marketing campaigns can be costly. A monthly commitment of funds may affect the cash flow of the business adversely and in a worst case scenario, may even cause a potentially profitable business to flounder before having a chance to shine. To have a better chance at succeeding with their online businesses, a flexible advertising approach should be adopted. In other words, advertising avenues that allow small business owners to spend in proportion to the amount of sales received should receive a warm reception. That means having the flexibility to spend a dollar today, create some sales activities, and be able to spend a hundred dollars a couple of months later when the revenue comes in.
AwardTrophy.Net allows small business owners to do just that. The newly found website accepts advertising from other websites for a dollar without any recurring fees.
For a dollar, each website is awarded a trophy. The top twenty websites with the most number of trophies will be featured on the homepage. All websites will receive a permanent link in this unique and original directory. If the number of trophies awarded to a website is not overtaken by another website, the listing will remain fully featured on the homepage for an unlimited amount of time.
AwardTrophy.Net also understands that due to the limited funds, small business owners would also welcome any form of external help. Therefore, the developers of the site built an original mechanism that allow anybody to support and award more trophies to a website just by cutting and pasting some simple HTML code.
“If a business owner owns a website that already has some traffic, he can garner the support of the website visitors and allow them to chip in some advertising dollars,” said Darren Chow, founder of AwardTrophy.Net. “We see many websites asking for donations to support the growth of the sites and visitors are happily donating. Why not donate a few trophies and help publicize their favorite website?”
To date, more than twenty websites have bought trophies from AwardTrophy.Net.
"I'm excited to be participating in this new venture. Who knew that advertising could be fun? This is certainly a unique and creative idea. Also, by limiting ads on the page to 20, this provides a lot more exposure to advertisers than the typical website. As well, by advertising early, you can benefit from a very affordable price, while bids are still low," said Jeff Behrendt, owner of the well-known Aviva Directory (AvivaDirectory.com).
At the moment, AwardTrophy.Net is getting a healthy influx of traffic due to promotions done on several forums, websites and press releases. Darren hopes that Awardtrophy.Net can help as many small business owners as possible to be successful.
