Steve - What do you think about Street Scene?

Matchbook Romance - It’s pretty cool we’ve never played Street Scene before and it going to be fun playing with a bunch of bands. Kanye, AFI, WuTang.

Steve - So what’s going on with Matchbook Romance right now?

Matchbook Romance - We’re on tour with Yellow Card right now. After this tour we are going to be going to Europe with the All American Rejects this September, and we’re not really sure what we will be doing this fall just yet. We might be going ahead and writing a new album, but check out our new album that came out this past year on Valentine’s Day called, “Voices.” Our first single off of “Voices” was “Monsters.” We did a video for that. We shot it with our director Travis Kopach. We had a good time with that video. We shot it and there was a lot of black goo everywhere, and by the end of the shoot we ended up covered in the goo and feathers. Yeah, so we were tarred and feathered. We also got to take down the entire set, which was pretty fun. We just wrecked the place.

Steve - What bands do you want to see at Street Scene?

Matchbook Romance - Here at Street Scene we have a bunch of excellent bands to see. I haven’t seen most of it. I just know Bad Religion is playing and that’s going to be amazing. I know Wu Tang Clan is playing. We will not be missing Wu Tang today. If there was ever a band or rap group that I want to perform with it would probably be Wu Tang. We’ve already checked Snoop Dogg off the list this summer. We played with him in Alabama. Now we have our rap street creds. And Kanye is playing today too…Kanye.
