BitRock Partners with JBoss to Extend Custom Stacks Offering

San Francisco, CA. August 20, 2006. BitRock, Inc., the leading provider of custom open source stacks, announced today that it has partnered with JBoss, a division of Red Hat, Inc., to enable software vendors to ship a complete, easy-to-install package that includes their software and the JBoss® Application Server, along with other open source software. BitRock Custom Stacks with JBoss are available for Linux, Windows, Solaris and Mac OS X.

BitRock Custom Stacks are customized, integrated distributions of open source software, built around a software vendor’s application. The stacks are packaged with BitRock installers, which step users through a fail-proof installation process. All necessary configuration, such as setting passwords and binding to the appropriate ports, is performed by the installer, so the user is ‘up and running’ with the software as soon as installation is completed.
