Network Insight Receives Multi-million Dollar Contract to Build Converged IP Backbone for StarVox Communications New Network Will Support Millions of Subscribers While Reducing Operating Costs

San Diego, August 21, 2006—Network Insight, LLC, the leading provider of IP network professional and managed services for service providers, today announced that it has received a hardware and professional services contract from StarVox Communications, a next-generation infrastructure and applications provider, that is expected to generate $1.9M in Cisco hardware and $100,000 in professional services within the first two months. Over the next year Network Insight is also expecting over $5M in Cisco hardware, design, testing and implementation for StarVox Communication Inc.’s (“StarVox”) backbone.

The contract calls for Network Insight to design, test and implement a carrier-grade core IP Gigabit Ethernet network that can sustain StarVox’s anticipated growth, while keeping operating costs under control.

“StarVox looked to Cisco’s 7600 series due to its flexibility, features and proven packet forward technology. We wanted routers that could deliver highly available voice and data services to our customers,” said Susan Tlacil, StarVox Senior Manager Engineering. “StarVox then required expertise to rapidly deploy and turn up a new backbone to support our growing customer base. Network Insight fit the bill with highly skilled engineers and proven design and installation skills.”

Network Insight and StarVox engineers debated the merits of several core protocol technologies, and their ability to handle all of the provider’s VoIP and data traffic, before deciding on Gigabit Ethernet as the most flexible protocol going forward.

These savings can then be passed on to subscribers.”

The backbone project is scheduled for completion in late September.
