Biopsy Diagnostics Announces New Diagnostic Pathologist, Dr. Zhu

(Beaufort, SC) – Biopsy Diagnostics (Bx-Dx) is proud to announce their new Diagnostic Pathologist, Dr. Weijian Zhu. Dr. Zhu joined Biopsy Diagnostics in July. He has special expertise in the fields of gastrointestinal pathology and cytopathology and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.

Dr. Zhu spent the last six years at the University of Michigan Hospital Health System, where he completed a four-year residency in anatomic and clinical pathology followed by two one-year fellowships, in surgical and gastrointestinal pathology and in cytopathology. He has lived in the United States for 12 years. Prior to becoming a U.S. citizen, Dr. Zhu worked as an internist in China. Dr. Zhu attended medical school at Zhejiang University in China. Upon arriving in the U.S., Dr. Zhu attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where he received his Ph.D. He also performed research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Zhu resides in South Carolina with his wife and two children.

Dr. White was assistant professor at Duke University and then worked with a large pathology group for a number of years before deciding to open his own lab. Dr. White is board certified in dermatopathology as well as anatomic and clinical pathology. He graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and did his residencies at Yale University, completing fellowships in oncologic pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and dermatopathology at Duke University.
