Solutions4ebiz President Jack Wilson Chosen as Chairperson of the Indiana CPA Society’s Information Technology Advisory Council

Indianapolis, Indiana — Jack Wilson, president of the Indiana software development and hosting company Solutions4ebiz, has been appointed chairperson of the Information Technology Member Section Advisory Council for the Indiana CPA Society, for a fifteen-month term.

The Indiana CPA Society chose Wilson as chairperson because of his demonstrated leadership to the society and its members in the area of information technology. Wilson will provide leadership skills to the six-member advisory council, who will meet regularly to address ways to meet the common technology needs of the society’s members. The advisory council plans to encourage more CPAs to become actively involved in technology, as well as address and meet the common needs and issues among its membership.

A few of the future goals Wilson and the council hope to address include:

• Enhance the IT member section of the Indiana CPA Society’s website, to address technology issues and make the website more of a resource for members
• Create a database of technology-related articles useful to CPAs, with topic such as paperless office, security, wireless technology and IT laws that impact CPAs
• Provide more valuable content in the IT members’ monthly e-newsletter
• Develop semi-annual Knowledge Networks, or educational programs with roundtable discussions on a variety of important technology topics

“We’d like to make the society, through its website, programs and communications, one of the key resources for CPAs when it comes to technology issues,” said Wilson. “By focusing in areas of technology that are of more specific to CPAs, we want to provide value that they can specifically apply to their practice or business.”

In addition to his role as chairperson of the IT advisory council, Wilson will also serve on the society’s state leadership cabinet. The leadership cabinet serves in an advisory capacity to the society by providing support and feedback on programs, services, policies and professional issues, and assisting the board of directors in the decision-making process.
