TAO and its TAO Lagoon (yes, it comes with a beachside lagoon pool) is created to take guests along on an exotic trip through the authentic cuisines of Southeast Asia, led by famed Executive Chef Vaewta Chookasem. Chookasem is a well known figure in the Thai culinary world, having a wealth of 22 years of experience in top restaurants and hotels in Asia and Europe.
The opening event, which will host invited government officials, tourism industry key figures, VIP guests, tourists and media, will feature authentic and modern Thai and Asian mixed dishes, alongside light signature beach cocktails and entertainment including a taste of Southeast Asian fire dance.
From the moment one steps feet at TAO, they’re greeted by the serene Saturday Buddha that “floats” above a pond filled with white water lilies. Tao’s architecture is a combination of both classic oriental Asian color schemes fused with traditional Balinese elements. The focal point of the restaurant is the striking golden crimson skywalk with “TAO” written majestically across the ceilings. The 80 seat TAO overlooks the Tanjung Benoa peninsula and also features a lagoon pool with a floating island in the middle.
