New York — Lenox Hill Radiology was the first client to install the MedInformatix pen input solution. The solution allows all departments to capture information and patients to sign off as needed. When asked about employee satisfaction, Donavon Spamer, Administrator, commented “Employees are happier with the fact there is less paperwork to track and MedInformatix makes the integration seamless and easy to use.” Lenox Hill Radiology was founded in 1988 and is a radiologist owned and operated imaging center. They see approximately 500 patients a day and have installed twenty-seven Wacom monitors to be used with the MedInformatix pen solution. Nine of the devices are located at the reception area to assist with patient registration where the average check in time per patient dropped from five minutes to one. The remaining eighteen are at the technologist workstations to screen patients and sign consent and medical questionnaire forms stored in the MedInformatix RIS. “We use Wacom monitors for viewing also. They replaced existing flat screen monitors and provided us with considerable savings since they serve a dual purpose.”
Spamer went on to comment on the installation and interface between MedInformatix and Wacom. "MedInformatix has been an innovator in the healthcare solution industry for about 15 years. I personally know their senior management and have been very impressed on how dedicated the entire company is to this market. At Lenox, where time and space are more precious than gold, MedInformatix really impressed us with its powerful yet easy to use solution and fast response time. Our request for interface, conversion, and custom programming were all fulfilled on a professional and timely manner."
