The Fox Tales launches - Firefox crop circles, a prom queen, and more zany stories!

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — SpreadFirefox, the volunteer grassroots community charged with spreading the award-winning Mozilla Firefox web browser, today announced the creation of a new Web site chronicling the browser's rampant success. The Fox Tales (www.thefoxtales.com) showcases passionate Firefox fans spreading the word to their respective communities—everything from knitting Firefox hats and baking Firefox cookies to branding the browser's distinctive logo in the sand.

Firefox is truly an underdog story. A non-profit browser built by hundreds of thousands of volunteers worldwide, Firefox last week reached 200 million downloads in the extraordinarily competitive browser space. The Fox Tales also tells the stories of other preeminent underdogs who were equally challenged, ridiculed and doubted. Everyone, of course, is invited to contribute to the Firefox story.

In order to encourage submissions, 25 limited-edition Firefox watches (courtesy of branders.com) will be awarded to the best and most unusual stories of spreading Firefox, along with memorabilia from fellow underdogs (such as original Beatles concert tickets) and gear from the Mozilla Store.
