POMONA, CA. – August 2006 – Auto-Graphics, Inc. (AUGR.PK), a technology innovator providing library automation solutions for over 35 years, today announced that six public libraries and two college libraries in Kansas have selected AGent VERSO™ as their integrated library management system. A longtime partner to the State Library of Kansas, Auto-Graphics’ AGent Resource Sharing™ interlibrary loan system and AGent Search™, its federated search portal, are already in use by over 1,000 Kansas libraries across the state. With the addition of AGent VERSO, these eight libraries will now be able to manage, share and search all holdings through a single library automation platform. Each of the Kansas libraries opted for Auto-Graphics’ ASP service with full system support, maintenance and updates, allowing them to focus on expanding patron services without the additional cost or complexity of performing system maintenance and without having to address technical support issues. These libraries – which include Goodland Public Library, Jay Johnson Public Library, Clay Center Public Library, Frankfort City Library, Waterville Public Library, Goddard Public Library, Central Christian College and McPherson College – join a growing roster of libraries opting for Auto-Graphics’ AGent Verso ASP offering. In the last year, the company has signed 98 percent of its new customers on an ASP basis.
“We are really pleased to have all our library automation needs taken care of by a single company, which makes implementation and customer support that much easier,” commented Karen Gillihan, director of the Goodland Public Library. “Having used the AGent interface for many years, we were very comfortable with Auto-Graphics and its platform capabilities. Using AGent VERSO to manage our cataloging, circulation and acquisition functions will help us further streamline our processes, and therefore provide greater value to our patrons.”
“Auto-Graphics has enjoyed a relationship with the State Library of Kansas for over 16 years, offering a statewide resource sharing system and federated search portal. We are excited that, with the addition of the AGent VERSO ILS system, these eight libraries will be able to fully leverage the State’s existing investment,” commented Paul Cope, president of Auto-Graphics. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with the State of Kansas and offering staff and patrons alike all the benefits inherent to the AGent platform through one integrated system.”
