Allen, TX—July 31, 2006—Making their debut performance, Crum & Smith Skate Shop brings some of the world's top pros to thrill audiences at The Edge, in Allen Station Park on September 30, 2006 for an all day celebration of breathtaking, gravity-defying skills at the first annual Skate Chaos in Tejas. The purpose of this charity-skateboarding event is to raise awareness to at-risk youth and children's homelessness and recruit volunteers to the new StandUp For Kids-Dallas branch that just moved to town.

One-hour of adrenaline-pumping exhibition will feature action sports legends Willy Santos, Pat Duffy, Darren Navarette and Mike Crum, which will surely enliven the crowds of Texan amateur skateboarders who will be throwing down their best tricks in efforts to secure a spot at the 2006 LG Action Sports World Championships which is an international professional contest with a prize purse of $625,000.

World champion vert-skater Mike Crum will host an all day party just next-door at the Crum and Smith skate shop. An autograph signing session, raffle, and silent auction will shower the scene starting at 11a.m., as community members celebrate the charitable efforts of StandUp For Kids. The contest will start at 2pm, followed by the pro-demo at 5pm.

For one week leading up to the event, two million people will view this Virgin Mobile sponsored event on a daily basis through www.myspace.com’s event page.

Skate Chaos in Tejas is a coordinated effort between Imagine Marketing Agency and Crum and Smith Skate Shop in order to influence strayed youth to channel their energy towards a more positive outlet, which they believe they can do through fun events involving skateboarding and other action sports.
