August 9, 2006; St. Louis, Missouri – Lee Biosolutions recently began carrying polyclonal myeloperoxidase (MPO) antibodies at www.LeeBio.com. The polyclonal MPO antibody comes from a rabbit host. It forms a single precipition arc against human MPO by immunoelectrophoresis; however there is no reaction with the normal human serum.
To create the polyclonal MPO antibodies, Rabbits are immunized with highly purified human MPO. After multiple immunizations in Freund's adjuvant, the rabbits are bled and the serum is collected. The anti-human myeloperoxidase used is the affinity purified off an antigen containing immunoabsorbent.
“We’re focused on providing consistently pure products to the clinical research community,” Lee Biosolutions President Burton Lee said. “We continue to expand our product line based on the trends that we see developing in the industry.”
