The Artist Chitra Ramanathan Has Completed a Major Commission for the MGM Mirage Group for their Cafe Bellagio in Las Vegas

Originally from India, Chitra Ramanathan, a U.S. citizen has succesfully held several solo and group exhibitions of her paintings on Broadway, New York since 1995, following a major solo exhibition of her paintings and sculpture at the ARC Gallery/Educational Foundation in Chicago, Illinois in 1994. Her work was well-received in Chicago and later New York resulting in rave reviews from Illinois and the New York exhibitions. Since 1999, a large number of her paintings have been acquired through the worldwide web as well as through contacts by individual collectors and business enterprises for collections around the United States and in Europe.

Chitra Ramanathan earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting with Honors, and her Masters degree in Business Administration both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. Several websites feature her biography as well as images of her colorful, mostly large mixed media acrylic abstract paintings in her signature style. She is a Services to Artists Committee member of the College Art Association of America, New York.
