According to Andri Chemical president, Luis Perez-Mena, Andri's excess manufacturing capability provided an excellent opportunity for operational efficiencies of scale, and the large client base and trained sales force of American Chemical provide new marketing impetus and strength for a combined marketing and sales optimization effort. As a combined enterprise, Andri Chemical will continue to service all existing clients of both companies. Their product line will include soaps, detergents, fabric softeners, both of their own manufacture as well as third party brands, aimed at the commercial and industrial markets and such businesses as laundries, car washes, hotels, motels, and restaurants. Andri will also continue to offer janitorial supplies and materials to support their clients across all industries.
The acquisition has resulted in no negative labor impact on personnel, and any potential downsizing will be handled through natural attrition. At the same time, the Andri has announced a benefits analysis plan to combine the best attributes of both companies into an affordable plan with more attractive benefits for all employees.
American Chemical's previous owner, John Fontaine, said the the combination of the two companies came at the optimum time, as he was suffering from health issues and this transaction provides him the opportunity to stay involved on a management consulting basis but without such stringent time demands.
