DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE
FOR CAL EXPO SATELLITE FACILITY RENOVATION

(July 2006) Sacramento, California – Ware Malcomb, leading national architecture, planning, interior design and graphic design firm with an office in West Sacramento, California, is proud to announce that design and construction are complete for Cal Expo’s Satellite Facility Renovation, located at 1600 Exposition Boulevard in Sacramento, California.

Ware Malcomb designed modifications to the Satellite Wager Facility to allow patrons the ability to interact with the race track while inside the building. The renovation included the demolition of a portion of the existing concrete grandstand and the installation of approximately 300 linear feet of glass wall. In addition, portions of the interior were renovated to maximize natural light and views.

Cal Expo is owned by the State of California and is home to the California State Fair, the Cal Expo Sports & Wagering Center, and other various local events.

The developer of the project is KMS Development, LLC based in Rocklin, California.

The General Contractor is Commercial Building Specialists based in Rocklin, California.
