Nashville, TN - Debut artist and En Sound Music Awards nominee June Rochelle is celebrating her first #1 radio hit with her single "For All The Love" from her national debut album, Changing Places. The song, which has garnered June a "Song of the Year" En Sound Music Award nomination, has topped the Gospel Showcase Radio Network's Top 10 Playlist chart for two consecutive weeks."Reaching #1 is proof that the song 'For All The Love' is needed," June comments about her chart topper. "People need to know God loves them, and it is my #1 priority to send that message through my songs. I am blessed in knowing that people are being impacted by 'For All The Love.'"
"I have heard a lot of artists over the years, but no artist, especially a female artist, has captured my attention like June Rochelle," raves Reginald Marshall, Program Director of Gospel Showcase Radio Network, a division of the 24 Hour Gospel Network. "I love the project, and our listeners love it too. I play it over and over as it really ministers to me."
June's current radio chart success merely adds to an already impressive string of accolades. She has outpaced some of the nation's top Grammy winners as she continues to build momentum on video and radio charts nationwide. The video from her radio hit "For All The Love" recently appeared on the BET Top 100 video chart and garnered more plays than superstar Grammy Award winners including The Black Eyed Peas, LL Cool J and Mary Mary.
June Rochelle's gifts and vocal prowess are brilliantly apparent on her first national release, Changing Places, earning her an En Sound Music Award nomination for "Female Vocalist of the Year" as well as the "Song of the Year" nod. Christened the "Melodic Queen of Soul and Inspiration" by her fans, June's work continues to receive impressive reviews from consumers and industry insiders alike. Tracey Artis, CEO for I Hear Music, Inc., calls June Rochelle "a must for all gospel lovers." At WXEZ in Virginia, where June's song "Radio" is in heavy rotation and currently on the station's Top 40 playlist, on-air personality Dale Murray raves, "June Rochelle's new release is a soulful masterpiece." "Use Me Lord," another song the acclaimed album, is also seeing significant airplay and was recently featured on the En Sound Top 20 chart, and the album was recently selected as the CD pick of the week by "Access Hollywood."
"God is so awesome, and I simply say thank you to Him," June says of the reception her music has received. "My heart is overwhelmed with joy and gratefulness. I am so thankful for all the favor that everyone has shown to me."
On a mission to soothe and uplift listeners with her soulful voice and message of hope, the Indianapolis native has stood before tens of thousands of people to share the stage and sing alongside legendary performers Celine Dion and Diana Ross. But her most profound performances have been in the humble service of people in need, in church pews or behind prison walls, encouraging soul-battered people to continue to strive forward. "My purpose on this road will always be to help ordinary people make it through another day," says June.
In addition to her accomplishments in the recording studio, June Rochelle opened for Yolanda Adams on the "Today" tour and has performed before Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, among other luminaries. June has even hosted her local TV talk show, "Joy in Our Town" on WLCJ-TBN, spotlighting topics like kids with disabilities, elder abuse and other topics of interest to local viewers.
