BRIDGEWATER, N.J. —July 27, 2006— WebApps, Inc., a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) that partners with Payroll Service Bureaus, Human Resource Outsourcing Firms, Professional Employer Organizations, and other service-related businesses, today announced its newest partnership with Massachusetts-based Payroll Service Bureau Complete Payroll Solutions. WebApps’ On Demand human productivity software will now be available as a Time and Attendance solution offered by the payroll company.Several factors contributed to the decision, which was headed up by Joe Agnello, Managing Partner for Complete Payroll Solutions. While Complete’s last solution was also web-based, it did not offer tools robust enough to handle the complex Time and Attendance requirements of the higher-end market, which is an area the payroll company is looking to target with WebApps’ solution. “We are excited about the opportunity to partner with WebApps. Their software allows Complete Payroll Solutions to address the advanced needs of our clients and prospects with a robust Time and Attendance system,” stated Agnello. “WebApps’ software will provide us with the flexibility to target prospective clients of varying size across a number of industries, which is critical to our growth and to the needs of our valued clients.”
Generally, the web-based solutions offered today are very simple applications that are not developed with complex payroll and human resource issues in mind. “We invest significant resources so our business applications and back-office tools are able to satisfy the needs of small, medium, and large enterprises across a broad spectrum of industries,” said Bill Loss, President of WebApps. “Allowing service providers to satisfy the needs of a broad spectrum of customers with a single software platform differentiates us from most other software providers.”
About SaaS
The SaaS model is predicated on a one-to-many or multi-client deployment, whereby an application is shared across customers. This centralized approach towards code management reduces implementation, training, and ongoing support time while minimizing business risk for service providers. End-users benefit from single-source accountability that typically leads to a successful software rollout at a lower total cost of ownership. Also commonly known as an On Demand model, customers pay for system usage based on a recurring subscription fee, as opposed to a large upfront licensing charge along with the yearly maintenance fees that client-installed options require.
