Boston, MA – June 24, 2006 – Edward Lehman, managing director of LEHMAN, LEE & XU, made a presentation on legal issues related to works-for-hire in China, and participated in a panel discussion about Japanese, Chinese and Indian patent law. The presentation took place during the ABA 2006 Summer IPL Session, and involved panel members from Japan, India, USA, and China. Mr. Lehman was the only speaker on Chinese law. His comments on IP rights in the event of innovations and inventions by employees and other contractors during the performance of their duties is a very important topic, given China's growing attractiveness as a research base for foreign companies.
