Albany Republican Files Petitions for Congressional Race

The Warren Redlich for Congress campaign announced today that he filed his petitions with the New York State Board of Elections. "I was very fortunate to have hundreds of Republican volunteers, coordinated by the party committees of the seven counties in the district," Redlich said.

Through the help of the various Republican committees, Redlich's campaign compiled 1000 petitions containing a total of 6000 signatures. New York State Election Law requires major party congressional candidates to submit 1250 signatures.

Redlich, a lawyer in Albany, was careful to say a special thanks to the Colonie Republican committee, which provided a tremendous number of signatures well out of proportion to the size of the town. "They delivered more than any other county, and also more than the rest of Albany County. They've got a great team, and we all need to learn from them," Redlich noted.

Redlich also thanked Albany GOP staffer Barbara Davis for her assistance in getting the petitions ready for filing.
