BURLINGAME, Ca.(July 14, 2006) – AtHoc, Inc., provider of net-centric emergency notification systems and an AFCEA corporate member, sponsored and exhibited at the AFCEA Army IT Day 2006, July 11, 2006, in Tysons Corner, VA, and will present at the Ramstein Air Base Technology Exposition on July 17-19 in Ramstein, Germany. These premier events will draw together top leadership from the Army and Air Force to discuss the progress made in incorporating information technology in support of their mass notification systems strategic missions.AtHoc has successfully deployed the AtHoc installation emergency notification systems (AtHoc IWSAlerts) in the Army and the Air Force, and will showcase its market-leading mass notification system products for installation protection and command and control. AtHoc will demonstrate its proven, enterprise-class alerting software for warning systems, emergency operations centers and critical communications.
AtHoc IWSAlerts provides bases with the ability to send alerts to a computer screen, cell phone or personal digital assistant (PDA) whenever a threat is identified. Threats can range from terror warnings to an approaching tornado. The alerts, in the form of pop-up windows, describe the potential threat, categorize the threat level and include instructions for action. An audio alert also automatically sounds over the computer's speakers. AtHoc IWSAlerts emergency notification systems can guarantee connected users will see and hear the alerts within an average of one minute after the alert is sent.
"Numerous bases are already up-and-running with AtHoc's offering, and interest continues to grow," said Guy Miasnik, president and CEO of AtHoc. "AFCEA’s expositions provides the opportunity to talk to Army and Air Force leadership about the real-world successes achieved by existing clients in speeding effective emergency information delivery through mass notification systems."
