GOLDEN WAGON FILM FESITVAL HONORS ACTRESS CELEST HOLM AT 2006 FILM FESTIVAL

Ocean Beach, Fire Island, NY—The Fire Island Golden Wagon Film Festival will honor actress Celeste Holm at their annual film festival taking place from July 14-16 at the Ocean Beach Ball Field. Holm will be present on the final day of the festival, Sunday, July 16th for a Q&A along with the rest of the filmmakers at 11:45, followed by a screening of her film “Come to the Stable.”

“Celeste Holm had an incredible career that not only spans decades, accolades and mediums of entertainment, but has used her celebrity and her talent to become a humanitarian working for people and children of all ages and embodies the creative and community spirit of our festival.” Says Greg Pace, Co-founder and Director of Programming for The Fire Island Film Festival.

The Festival recognizes and honors independent filmmakers whose works inspire and open minds to the virtue of their artistic expression, and pays tribute to an established artist of film and television who has a sincere connection and love for Fire Island. Other past honorees have included Tony Randall, Harvey Keitel and David Duchovny.

Welcome festivities begin at the Ocean Beach Ball Field on Friday evening with a series of screenings and an after party and continue through Saturday and Sunday with more films, a BBQ and wine tasting.
