BRP exhibit renowned Evinrude® E-TEC™ engines at Southampton Boat Show 2006

BRP will make their debut as the direct Importer and Distributor of their recreational products within UK and Ireland at this year’s Southampton Boat Show following their acquisition of Jets Marivent UK. BRP will be displaying the award-winning range of Evinrude® E-TEC™ outboard engines, and a selection of two- and four-stroke Johnson® outboard engines, at Stand H001 at the 2006 Southampton Boat Show.

The innovative range of Evinrude E-TEC engines not only offer a three year warranty, but due to the unique way in which the engines are designed, they also require no dealer scheduled maintenance for three years or 300 hours, allowing the owner to get maximum use from their engine.

The Evinrude E-TEC range also saw BRP become the first marine engine manufacturer to hold the U.S. EPA Clean Air Excellence Award. Stylish and quiet, all models are incredibly easy to operate and offer a superior standard of low emissions, even compared to their four-stroke competition.

The Evinrude E-TEC range offers a huge amount of choice over a wide selection of horsepower options, from 40hp right up to 250hp. All V4 and V6 models are compatible with BRP’s I-Command integrated information system, allowing a range of GPS, depth sounders and other instruments to be added as and when they are required.

The Evinrude E-TEC is the only outboard engine which meets, without modification, not just EPA and EU 2006 emissions limits but also achieves the California Air Resources Board’s CARB 2008 top three-star rating.

Also at the Show, BRP will be exhibiting the new range of Evinrude E-TEC marine protection systems, launched earlier this year. The two professional systems, which are both fully waterproof and are specifically designed with marine applications in mind, are customised for use on any outboard engine, including the award-winning Evinrude E-TEC range.

The first of the two new products is the remote controlled compact alarm system, which features waterproof remote control keys and a 106dB siren, which activates if attempts are made to unhook the engine. Also available is the satellite localisation and control system, a top of the range marine specific alarm system which offers satellite tracking and status supervision. Both protection systems are energy efficient.
