These new pint-sized, power-packed radios offer an instant appeal to active families; travelers; RV owners; sports enthusiasts; and everyday outdoors' lovers. They enable keeping track of everyone when shopping at the mall or roaming a theme park as well as while hiking, skiing, fishing, or boating.
For the ultimate in clear, crisp communications, they offer a full complement of 22 channels (7 combo FRS/GMRS, 7 FRS, and 8 GMRS). FRS (Family Radio Service) and GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service, for which a license is needed) were established by the FCC for personal two-way communications.

Model G-223 in black, only $49.95 suggested retail per pair, opens the line. It features 22 channels with a full two watts of output power providing up to a seven-mile range depending on terrain and environmental conditions.
Added features include paging/call for incoming call notification, automatic channel scanning, auto squelch for quiet operation, keypad lock, and auto battery saver circuit.
Model G-225 in red, $59.95 MSRP per pair, follows with the addition of 38 privacy/interference-eliminator codes. These digital sub-channels enable establishing a private "talk group" with any number of radios and blocking reception of unwanted transmissions. This unit also features external charging and speaker/microphone jacks.
The "G Series" is highlighted by premium Model G-227 in blue at $69.95 MSRP per pair that adds a vibrating alert for silent paging and call notification.
"Street pricing" may be lower as set by individual retailers.
Accessories Available
Accessories for these radios include a pack of two earpiece/microphones (AVP-1, $13.95 MSRP) and an accessory power package (Model AVP-2, $24.95 MSRP) with a dual desk charger and two battery packs. Model AVP-3 combines both and retails for $35.95.
