Innovative singer/songwriter sells shares o his album before it exists

Daunted by the red tape and conditions that bind artists to record labels and the struggle facing most artists to make ends meet, Riz has come up with a model to fund the prohibitive recording and distribution costs of his album ‘Royal Flush’ by selling shares in his album from his MySpace page www.myspace.com/iamriz.

Inspired by fellow artist Verity’s success in funding the initial production costs for her album by pre-selling copies on a trust basis to her fans, Riz called on his fans to help him in making the dream of his new album a reality.

Shareholders of ‘Royal Flush’ are listed on his MySpace page www.myspace.com/iamriz. The album will be a unique collaboration between Riz, Grammy winning producers and those who believe in him – the investors will have a say in the songs tat go on the album.
“Music is much bigger than the artists that make it,” Riz explains. “it is a soundtrack to the life of those who indulge in it, and they deserve to be part of the process”.

Riz is calling the initiative the ‘The Album Stock Project’ and his target is to sell 1,000,000 shares at $2 per share to cover the initial $2,000,000 required to record, promote, distribute a and administer an album.

A talented artist with a soothing voice, Riz has pledged to donated 10% of every sale to charity. At 1,000,000 shares sold, there will be $200,000 to donate to charity.
