The Voice of the Wetlands announces dates for the 2006 Voice of the Wetlands Festival in Houma, Louisiana

Dates for the 2006 Festival are October 13, 14th, and 15th

Place: the Southdown Plantation Grounds in Houma, Louisiana

Musical acts: The Voice of the Wetlands All-stars feat. Tab Benoit, Cyril Neville, Anders Osborne, Waylon Thibodeaux, George Porter Jr, Johnny Vidacovich, Jumpin Johnny Sansone, and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux/ Louisiana Leroux, The Chubby Carrier Band, The Treater Band, Southern Cross, Cyril Neville and Tribe 13, The Pershing Wells Louisiana Songwriting, The Waylon Thibodeaux Band, The Hurricane Levee Band plus many other exciting local and national acts.

Food: There will be authentic Cajun and Creole Cuisine that has been influenced by the local Lafourche and Terrebonne Parish culture.

Wetlands Exhibits: Enjoy learning and exploring the many Wetlands and Estuary exhibitors and organizations through out Louisiana. This festival brings all of the organizations together to teach visitors how they can help save Louisiana’s people, land and culture.
