International My Little Pony Convention in San Francisco, Serves Up Excitement for 80's Toy Fans

On July 15th and 16th, 2006, My Little Pony Collectors from around the globe will gather at The Golden Gateway Holiday Inn in San Francisco, California for the 3rd annual My Little Pony Fair: Collector's Convention and Expo (MLP Fair, http://www.mlpfair.com). Each year, hundreds of My Little Pony collectors attend this event for an opportunity to show, buy, sell, and trade My Little Pony toys.

This year, MLP Fair organizers have invited two special guests to present at this event. Lafayette, Indiana's Summer Hayes, author of The My Little Pony G3 Collector's Resource (ISBN: 1411675908), will be signing copies of her newly released book, which details the collecting of these colorful plastic equines, at the event.

“I'm always excited to meet fellow collectors,” said Hayes, who has attended a previous MLP Fair as well as a slew of other smaller collector events. “It's great to get a group of people together that share a similar interest. You never run out of things to say!”

Hayes will be traveling to the MLP Fair with Mary Hinkley and Amber Oliver, both collectors, who also reside in Lafayette, Indiana.

“It's a small world, I met Mary and Amber at past My Little Pony events and we have all become really good friends,” said Hayes. “You never know who you'll meet.”

Julie Alexander will also be in attendance at the MLP Fair to speak about her website, My Little Pony Arena (http://www.mlparena.com), an on-line My Little Pony collecting community. Alexander's site first debuted in 2003 and has since become a cornerstone of the My Little Pony community.
