BIKERS “RIDE FOR LIFE” TO BENEFIT MDA

VILLA PARK, Ill.— Harley riders are showing their soft side by taking a “Ride for Life” to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Ride will take place on Sunday, July 9 and is sponsored by Wild Fire Harley Davidson/Buell.Ride for Life is the only motorcycle ride in DuPage County that directly benefits MDA. Bikers will take a 100-mile scenic tour through Chicago’s western suburbs. The ride begins and ends at Wild Fire Harley Davidson, 120 W. North Ave. in Villa Park.
Registration is at 9 a.m. The first bike out is at 10:30 a.m. and the last bike out is at 11:30 a.m. There will be a Harley Bike Raffle at 4 p.m. and the post party is at Wildfire, complete with a barbecue, drinks and two bands.
Harley-Davidson began its partnership with MDA in 1980 and since then has raised more than $50 million for “Jerry’s kids”. Funds raised through hundreds of rides and other special events help support MDA’s worldwide research and also provide local families with services such as diagnostic testing, clinic visits, therapy sessions, summer camp and with the purchase of wheelchairs and leg braces
