Unique Artist-Featured Gift Site TheSucculentWife.com Announces New Artist: Debby Jewesson for “Branching Out”, a new collection of nature inspired home décor accessories
Henderson, NV – June, 2006 — The Succulent Wife, a recently-launched gift company found at www.TheSucculentWife.com, is pleased to introduce Branching Out by Debby Jewesson and to feature her work in its home décor and children’s gifts categories.
This is the age of the “Look and Feel”, where consumers are looking to satisfy their sensory and aesthetic side and even further, to reject the homogenization of styles, trends and tastes. Jewesson’s Branching Out designs, as all products featured on The Succulent Wife, salute this movement by offering objects with authenticity and individuality.
Jewesson “fell into flowers” by choice. Her degree in kinesiology had led her to teaching physical education, but a move mid-year interrupted that career. Soul searching soon revealed that her true passion lay in a more creative field. She ambitiously sought a career in floral design, first apprenticing with an elite floral design and event company in Dallas, TX and then quickly becoming the manager and head designer at a boutique floral design shop. In 2002, Jewesson co-founded Fete des Fleurs, soon leading it to become the premium floral design and event company in Dallas. During her career, she has catered to The Mansion on Turtle Creek, one of Dallas’s few five star hotels. She has created unique floral arrangements for celebrity guests such as Sir Anthony Hopkins, Uma Thurman, Elton John, Liza Minnelli, and Vice President Cheney to name a few. Her work has been featured in such magazines as D Home and Garden, The Knot and D Weddings.
And now, through her new company, Branching Out, Jewesson introduces her new collections of home décor and children’s gift items. Jewesson uses products inspired by nature as the canvas for her unique creations. Her first collection launched for summer 2006 with two distinct themes: “Nesting” features delightful decorative boxes adorned with birds, eggs and other dried florals; the “She Sells Seashells” pieces display the opulence of clustered seashells; the children’s pieces are inspired by Jewesson’s own daughter and bespeak of little girl dreams of color and fairytales. The fall collection, being created at this very moment, promises to be even more exciting. Entitled “Found Objects”, it will include materials any curious kid would find on a nature walk, including tortoise shells and antlers. Wool felt and burlap are the core materials of this collection which will feature decorative pillows - among some of the home and children’s décor accessories that will be offered. Jewesson says “Branching Out is more than just producing beautiful home décor. I want to create a new type of artwork for the home, using nature’s products in a more interesting and thought-provoking way”.
