Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. Names 5 New Associate Vice Presidents

Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. — the country’s largest full-service residential remodeling firm — has announced the appointment of 5 members of its Bethesda, Maryland headquarters staff to the position of Associate Vice President. The members of the new tier of the company’s leadership are: John Audet; Associate Vice President, General Manager Kitchen/Bath Division; Michelle Doischen, Associate Vice President, Director of Marketing; Franklin Harlow, Associate Vice President, Director of Handyman; Ricardo Matus, Associate Vice President, Director of Design, and; Tamara M. Ruffin, Associate Vice President, Director of Human Resources.

“As we continue to grow and to reach new levels of performance, both in the remodeling industry and here at Case, it is important that we expand our foundation of leadership in order to better prepare the company for the future,” said Mark Richardson, CR, president of Case, in his announcement of the appointments. “It is in this spirit that the management team is excited to announce the creation of this new level of leadership within the organization.”

John Audet
Associate Vice President
General Manager, Kitchen/Bath Division

John Audet joined Case in 1999 and was named General Manager Kitchen/Bath division in 2002. As a member of the Case Kitchen/Bath division’s leadership team Mr. Audet was a key contributor to the expansion of the department as it increased its revenues by some 400% and its 14-member team grew to the current complement of 40. Mr. Audet has received multiple company and national awards, including repeated recognition for outstanding sales performance and 2 prestigious Chrysalis Design Awards. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Michelle Doischen
Associate Vice President
Director of Marketing

Michelle Doischen joined the Case marketing team in 1998. Throughout her tenure she has been at the forefront of many innovative, industry-leading and highly effective Case marketing programs. Her strong acumen for strategic marketing planning and management led to her promotion in 2002 to the position of Director of Marketing. Since that time she has been a key contributor to the continued dominance of the Case brand in local and national markets. Ms. Doischen holds a B.S. in Sociology from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Franklin Harlow
Associate Vice President
Director of Handyman

Franklin (Frank) Harlow joined Case in 2000. In the 4 years since he joined Case, Mr. Harlow’s responsibilities have grown to incorporate oversight of operations of the Case Handyman® Services divisions in all 4 of the company’s Washington D.C.-metro area offices. His effective leadership of a large, diverse workforce was acknowledged with an appointment to Director of Handyman in 2004. Mr. Harlow earned his Certified Remodeler certification from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry in 2002.

Ricardo Matus
Associate Vice President
Director of Design

Ricardo (Rick) Matus began his career with Case in 1989, and during his 15-year tenure as a Project Designer has earned a superlative reputation among Case clients. A consistent leader in sales volume, more than 70% of his projects are attributable to referrals and new jobs for past clients. He was appointed Case’ Director of Design in 1997. In this capacity he maintains a full schedule of design duties and is charged with oversight of training programs for Case design staff. Mr. Matus graduated with a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Tamara M. Ruffin
Associate Vice President
Director of Human Resources

Tamara Ruffin began her career with Case in 1999 and was promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2001. During her career at Case she has spearheaded a number of professional and personal development initiatives for personnel in all areas of Case operations. An active member of the Society for Human Resource Management at both the national and local levels, Ms. Ruffin served as Vice President of Programs for the Montgomery County chapter of the association. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Towson State University in Towson, MD and received her certification as a Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resources Certification Institute in 2001.
