BEDFORD, Mass., June 22, 2006 - Collax, Inc., the leading European vendor of affordable, turn-key, Linux-based server solutions for small and medium sized businesses, today announced the opening of its first U.S. office at 19 Crosby Drive in Bedford, MA.With the opening of this office, Collax officially moves its international headquarters from Munich, Germany to the Boston area in preparation for the company's upcoming U.S. launch.
Collax was founded in early 2005 by CEO Olaf Jacobi, CFO William Hite and CTO Boris Nalbach and since has received series A funding from Intel Capital, Atlas Venture Partners and Wellington Partners. Its Linux-based server solutions contain a suite of applications for security, networking and communication. Each server can be used with any Windows, Mac or Linux client devices with no knowledge of Linux required.
