June 21, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
Medical writer, Stacey Lloyd, will be offering a free webinar, at www.StaceyLloyd.com beginning in late July, on the topic of tuberculosis and air travel. Stacey will be providing the free webinar to occasional and frequent travelers and healthcare professionals, during the busy travel season, who are interested in understanding the risks of contracting TB while in a confined space such as an airplane. The free webinar will last approximately 90 minutes, and will be available July through August. Although the Tuberculosis and Air Travel webinar is free, participants are asked to register by visiting www.StaceyLloyd.com.
With the summer months being prime travel time, where vacationers are often in confined spaces such as airplanes with other people from all over the world, Stacey Lloyd is aiming to answer the question of what would actually happen if an individual infected with a disease such as tuberculosis were to openly sneeze, cough, or even simply talk in such a confined space. Would the disease spread to other travelers? Stacey will answer that question and more in this free webinar. The Tuberculosis and Air Travel webinar targets occasional and frequent air travelers, and healthcare professionals who would like to better address health concerns of their patients related to air travel.
Registered participants in the free webinar will need to meet certain system requirements in order to access the presentation. They will need access to Windows® 2000 and above, Internet Explorer 6.0 or above, and a high-speed Internet connection. Users will have the option of accessing the audio portion by using their telephone, or they can use the free Skype™ software with a headset or their computer speakers and microphone.
