Home Concept Founder Gary Chrisinger to Retire

Madison, Wis. – After 42 years in retail, Home Concept founder Gary Chrisinger will retire on June 30th, 2006. Chrisinger and Steve Brielmaier opened the first Home Concept store in Appleton in August 1994. Home Concept expanded to Madison in 1997 and opened LampsUSA.com in 1998. Home Concept has one of America’s largest selections of lamps, light fixtures, framed art, and take-with furniture.Chrisinger’s 42 year career in retail included buying and merchandising positions at Jefferson Wards, Treasure Island, ShopKo, and Home Concept. He will retire to the foothills of Tennessee.
Chrisinger’s replacement for buying and advertising is John Grzeca, who has spent 20 years with ShopKo. Grzeca has been with Home Concept since August 2005.
