Billboard Songwriting Contest highest level Honourable Mention for Australian based Award Winning Songwriter John Harley Weston

John Harley Weston's song, the humanitarian lament, 'Brothers & Sisters' has just received a highest level Honorable Mention in the 13th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest. That's huge!

As if that's not enough 'Last Days of Summer' (the song that John won the current Australian National Songwriting Contest - rock category - with) also received a Billboard Honourable Mention. That's another nod of approval this time from overseas songwriting judges. Just goes to show that the Australian judges know what they're talking about.

The Billboard certificates recognise that this is a very high achievement for such a contest considering the quality of this year's entries and shows that John Harley Weston is a world class writer.

Weston says, 'Wait until they hear the songs off the next album'. (It's under way and should be completed before the end of 2006)
