Amnesty Republicans create new wave of forced unionism; Business groups not with you cut deal with unions instead

Reject an Amnesty program NAWER named as "Sweeney's plan" that will only augment union tyranny on the backs of future workers nationwide, namely the 11,000,000 illegal aliens subjected to the violence and intimidation of rigged card checks when they become legal citizens. New citizens deserve the promise of American democracy not more unionization. The Secret Ballot Protection Act, once passed, will bring honor back into Republican hands. No more cites like Houston and Miami, where massive card check campaigns were won, will fall to the union hoards ever again.


"I don't get how some Republicans in Congress are not fighting against the unions on their card check organizing drives, yet they can support an Immigration law that will only help the unions grow stronger today," said Will Fine, executive director of the National Alliance for Worker and Employer Rights


Perhaps the reason Republicans are not fighting for SBPA and Amnesty together can be found in the Business community? And looming behind the business groups are not the unions hiding?


Eight years after (2006) Sweeney Launched his immigration/card check attack on America Andrew Stern (SEIU) and Terrence O'Sullivan (Laborers) joined Sweeney's assault on America with a radical new strategy that is only now bringing forth its wicked fruit against Republicans.


The strategy was a simple one: Join their unions with Business groups to weaken Republican's hold over immigration and the labor supply they represent will also stall most anti-union Bills coming out of Congress. At close to a million laborers a year since 2000 Business groups had there reason to sit down and join with the labor unions. Together unions and some business groups agreed that one day they would have the votes for Amnesty. Amnesty is what brought this Alliance to life.


It is no secret the Business community is not with Republicans who are against the new wave of forced unionism to come. So why would Republicans not see this as a political trap? Because it seems Business groups want Republicans to indirectly support Amnesty first before there are secret Ballot elections in the workplace which they also support. It is the appearance that the Business community supports both positions at once which makes Republicans think that business is with them if the unions turn against them. In reality, many Business groups are not with Republicans or the unions on secret ballot. Secret Ballot might weaken support for Amnesty and it is Amnesty that these Business groups support.


The deal Business groups struck with the SEIU and Laborers in January 2006 clearly reveals two things: 1) They excluded from the discussions with the unions SBPA thus giving up workers right to vote by secret ballot-against the unions-for a greater labor supply to come: 2) They implemented a new tactical alliance between part of the Business community and labor unions. Implementing a plan sparked in 2000 when the AFL-CIO and Business groups first recognized their interests coincided on the prize of amnesty.


Understanding this reality Republicans now must vote on which future they wish to bring about; will you vote both on SBPA and Amnesty? This is the strategy to preempt big labor from exploiting immigrant labor's transition to legalization or will you follow the "Business-union alliance" and allow unions to take control of a vast new American labor force? How many card check elections will the unions win then in Republican districts with so many chances to ferment their organizing drives? Who will stand up for you then but yourselves?
