RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Mi-Co, the mobile data capture company, announced that the company’s Chairman of the Board, Jim Clary will be presenting at the Anoto Functionality Conference. This year's two-day event, which is being held in Copenhagen, Denmark, is the third year in a row that Mi-Co executives have presented at the conference on the latest innovations in digital ink. "It is exciting to be invited to speak," stated Clary, ”and because Mi-Forms has such a strong position in the digital ink marketplace, I will have the opportunity to highlight diverse solutions currently being implemented from inspection applications to clinical trial solutions using the digital pen.”
Mi-Co has had customers using Anoto functionality and the digital pen for over three years and was an early partner of the key players in the digital ink space. These partnerships include service providers focusing on digital ink solutions and key digital pen manufacturers, such as Logitech as well as Anoto.
Included in the highlighted applications are an inspection application implemented by Mi-Co business partner Maxcentric, a California based company that specializes in the Lifecycle Management of facilities and assets. In this application, the customer required quality data on residential rental properties in a timely and cost effective manner. Using Mi-Forms Software, Maxcentric implemented an application that allows inspectors to capture data in a mobile environment while quickly getting that data in machine readable form. Substantial monetary savings in the inspection process has occurred and will be highlighted by Clary.
A clinical trial application that will be presented involves one of the world’s most highly regulated industries, pharmaceutical companies. For example, data capture applications require an accuracy of over 99.7%. Clary’s presentation will identify ways Mi-Forms technology and Anoto functionality ensure that this high level of accuracy is exceeded.
Mi-Co, an Anoto alliance partner, develops enterprise strength mobile data capture software and has products in its portfolio that support Anoto's functionality and capabilities. Anoto Group AB, which hosts the conference, is a Swedish hi-tech company with unique solutions for the transmission of handwritten text from paper to digital media using the digital pen.
