(Worcester, MA) The concept of membership in a trade association is stronger than ever with the recent jump in membership for the BACM. Executive Director Guy Webb announced the success of the May membership drive. “We increased our membership by more than a third, reaching close to 350 companies.” New members came from a broad representation of homebuilding, building related-services and trades, not just one particular industry.
The result of the membership drive showed dedication and hard work by both the membership chairman, Bob Richmond of Richmond Home Improvements & Decks, and event organizer, Paul Gemme of NEWGEM Builders, who spearheaded the team-based concept. The success of the drive was tied directly to the involvement and enthusiasm of the team members and the entire board of directors.
The two-day membership drive was part of an area wide membership program with other builders associations from across the state. The addition of 102 new members represented the highest percentage increase in membership of all the associations participating in the state-wide membership drive.
New members will soon be listed in the search directory on BACM.com and invited to describe their company’s services, post employment opportunities and review requests for proposals.
