Asheville, NC - Upstart publisher Rockfic Press is publishing novels and short story collections where the characters are based on rock stars. The publishing business is an offshoot of Rockfic.com, an internet archive and community for writers and readers of band fiction. Like the fanzines of the 70s and 80s, Rockfic Press offers fans of band fiction a way to enjoy their favorite stories the same way they'd enjoy any of their other favorite writers' work: in print. Their latest release is a space opera by heavvymetalqueen called SOMEWHERE OUT IN SPACE. A triology of novellas, it marks the first science fiction release by Rockfic Press.
From the back of the book:
"Kai Hansen has been kidnapped—no! Worse! Spacenapped! Waking to a distant view of Earth, which one really shouldn't wake up to unless one is an astronaut or very, very unfortunate, Kai finds himself both at the mercy of a hysterically wailing young Uranian lady named Fang—and the sole and single cause of all her misery. When they land, things only get worse."
Rockfic Press has also published fantasy, horror and erotica starring well-known musicians. Its most popular release to date has been ROAD HAZARDS, an anthology of band fiction that takes place on the road.
Books are available online from their website (www.rockficpress.com) as well as online bookstores such as Amazon.
Rockfic Press and its authors are not associated with any of the bands or musicians that appear in the books. The books are not endorsed by any bands or musicians. They have been written without the bands' or musicians' involvement. And they are always complete works of fiction.
