SAUSALITO, CA (June 02, 2006) – AngelPoints announces today full compliance with the Corporate Volunteer Reporting Standards 2.0 (“the CVR Standards”). By defining key terms for companies to report their volunteer activities, the CVR Standards allow corporate volunteer managers to track trends, benchmark volunteer programs and encourage better practices.“A consistent standard for tracking and reporting corporate volunteerism is essential for companies to compare outcomes and results,” said AngelPoints’ CEO and Founder, Andrew Mercy. “With the Summer ’06 release of AngelPoints EVS™, companies can track all key data points identified in the CVR Standards, including volunteer activities, volunteer hours, the dollar value of volunteer hours, and nonprofit organizations. This is an essential step in beginning to manage a company’s portfolio of philanthropic activities.”
With over 50 corporate customers, AngelPoints EVS™ has the largest database of corporate volunteer data available in the market. AngelPoints clients can track volunteer activities in full compliance with the CVR Standards and also track and report on targeted key outcomes (e.g., total number of volunteer hours, number of meals served, numbers of children taught, etc.). As part of the AngelPoints family, clients are able to benchmark their volunteer programs and outcomes against peer groups, companies of comparable size, the AngelPoints average and the overall industry average.
The Standards were adopted by more than 30 member-companies of the Bay Area Corporate Volunteer Council, including Bank of America, Intel, Levi Strauss & Co., McKesson, and Oracle, among others. “As a leading member of the Steering Committee that helped establish the CVR Standards, AngelPoints has been an active voice in promoting greater corporate community involvement and consistent reporting of volunteer results and outcomes,” said Julia Love, Associate Director of The Volunteer Center Serving San Francisco and San Mateo Counties and leader of the Bay Area Corporate Volunteer Council.

About the Corporate Volunteer Reporting Standards
A steering committee assembled by the Bay Area Corporate Volunteer Center (BACVC) created the Corporate Volunteer Reporting Standards. The Standards were presented at a summit of over 25 leading corporate volunteer program managers, and are gaining widespread adoption. The BACVC will host a follow-up summit in 2007 to review the Standards, compare results, and evaluate members’ usage of the standards.
