ingage Produces Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce’s First Ever Interactive Annual Report

Durham, NC – June 2, 2006 – The Durham Chamber of Commerce, a voluntary partnership of more than 1,600 members, recently held its annual meeting and Centennial celebration. Rather than distributing a traditional, printed annual report that detailed outcomes of the Chamber’s key initiatives, they handed attendees a slim, highly portable program enclosed with an interactive tool created especially for the event by Durham-headquartered interactive direct marketing company ingage. Using proprietary technology that converts any printed material into digital format, ingage produced a CD that emulates the look and feel of a publication while allowing Chamber members to zoom in and out of pages, search text for references to specific people and projects, as well as printing the sections of their choice.
“I have been a member of the Chamber for several years so, naturally, we were excited to generate the organization’s first ever interactive annual report,” said Nick Piornack, Executive Vice-President of ingage. “The use of ingage’s technology is especially fitting this year, as the Chamber celebrates its centennial. The introduction of the interactive report is a great way to usher in the next 100 years.”
A nationally recognized direct marketing company offering a roster of interactive products that deliver superior response rates and innovative measuring tools, ingage produced 1,000 CDs to be handed out at the Durham Chamber of Commerce’s Annual
Meeting and Centennial Celebration. “We were more than pleased with our interactive annual report,” commented Libby Barnes, President and CEO of the Durham Chamber of Commerce. “ingage delivered the project in just a few weeks and the result was an upscale, user-friendly tool that showcased the organization’s accomplishments in a modern and cost-effective way.”
