Mi-Co Announces Mobile Wizards for IBM Workplace Forms

Mi-Co, the mobile data capture software company, announced an initiative with IBM® that enables IBM Workplace Forms™ users through the use of Mi-Forms software “Mobile Wizards” to more effectively deploy popular mobile devices including Tablet PCs, Ultra Mobile PCs, Windows Mobile devices and Anoto functionality Digital Pens. Mi-Co has signed an agreement with IBM that facilitates the seamless integration of Mi-Forms and IBM Workplace Forms software and makes it available to users worldwide.The Mi-Forms System enables the implementation of accurate and efficient mobile data capture and forms automation systems. The software system includes components for mobile data capture, handwriting interpretation, verification, data validation and communication using stylus, touch screen and other mobile input modalities. Mi-Forms is currently in use at a number of customer sites including Sutter Health hospitals, various United States Department of Agriculture sites, Boston Public Health Commission and the University of Cincinnati Hospital.

Because IBM Workplace Forms is based on open standards and seamlessly integrates with IBM middleware, the introduction of Mi-Forms Wizards for IBM Workplace Forms into the IT infrastructure will extend existing legacy systems and workflow out to mobile devices. The result is the best of both the desktop and mobile forms automation worlds.
