MAPLEWOOD, NY - Comfortex Corporation, a leading innovative manufacturer and fabricator of custom window treatment products for global distribution, has promoted Laura Baker to the position of Associate Product Manager. Ms. Baker joined Comfortex as a Marketing Assistant in 2004. Since then she has taken on increasing responsibilities. She has been a strong contributor helping develop and launch several Comfortex marketing programs, notably for the Comfortex BlindCrafter line of custom window treatments. Most recently, she was a key player in the company’s effort to make its website – www.comfortex.com — even more responsive to the needs of the marketplace.
"Laura will be a great addition to the Product Management Team, and I look forward to working closely with her on both current and new programs,” said Shane Brunell, Product Manager at Comfortex. “She has proven herself over and over again. Her track record on the BlindCrafter program and her contributions to our online marketing efforts have been outstanding.”
Commenting on Ms. Baker’s promotion, John C. Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President of Comfortex, noted that her promotion exemplified the firm’s policy of recognizing and developing talent from within. “This illustrates one of our most strongly held beliefs, which is that people can grow within the company. Here we have a marketing professional who knows the company, the product, and the marketplace. As the company grows, we need bright, energetic people to grow with it. Laura is just such a person.”
Prior to joining Comfortex, Ms Baker had been Vice President of Operations for a World Gym licensee in Saratoga Springs, New York. She is pending completion of her B.S. in Marketing; she holds an A.A.S. in Marketing from Adirondack Community College.
